Imagine walking into a group show and the only rule is that the artists choose each other. No other concept – nothing more, nothing less than a chain reaction of affinities.
This is maremoto. One member of Peninsula invites an artist to contribute a work, who in turn invites another artist to do the same. The stage is set, now what’s the script?

maremoto carries the anarchic force of a tidal wave. It resists containment, spre- ads unpredictably and drifts away from any fixed centre – if there ever was one. Each singularity introduces a shift, a ripple that alters the whole.
Meanwhile, a familiar presence lingers in the rooms of Bethanien. It’s Berlin summer. No real destination, just endless detours.

As we drift together, we become community.
